This week we met with Don Kisky of Whitetail Freaks TV to asking him questions about hunting. He and his wife, Kandi, are getting ready for a huge season hunting trophy whitetail deer and elk across the country.

Taylor: Don, it’s nice to meet you. We know you love hunting now, but how did you get into hunting?

Don: My love for hunting started early. I was introduced to hunting by my dad. I was squirrel, rabbit and coon hunting by the time I could walk. That led me to hunt big game further down the road.

Taylor: What led you to pursue it as a career?

Don: Totally by accident, I just thought it would be cool to get a hunt on video. But one thing led to another then I realized there was a market for great quality big buck kills. Definitely a great industry to be involved in.

Taylor: Obviously “Whitetail Freaks TV” is focused on trophy whitetail hunting, but what are your favorite species to hunt?

Don: Crazy enough Elk is my favorite game animal to hunt. You wouldn’t guess it by the name of the show!

Taylor: What is your favorite place to hunt?

Don: As far as Whitetails go, my favorite place would be my home state of Iowa or Canada. You can’t beat the quality of deer in either of these places.

Taylor: Where will you be hunting in 2016?

Don: We will be focusing on Whitetails in Iowa and elk hunting out west. We’re looking forward to a great season of hunting this year.

Taylor: What are you most looking forward to this fall?

Don: I’m really looking forward to how big of a jump in size my bucks made. We have one buck that will push 200″ of antler. An absolute giant!
